  • Description of Incredible Hulk Coaster:
Incredible Hulk Coaster is one of the main thrill rides at Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park in Orlando. Located in Marvel Super Hero Island, the ride begins inside Dr. Bruce Banner's gamma ray accelerator when something goes incredibly wrong. With no warning you're launched from zero to 40 mph in just two seconds up the enclosed eleven story lift to immediately enter the first of seven inverting elements, a zero-gravity roll. The bright green, tubular steel track then dives down over water into a massive double inversion cobra roll, that is followed by a towering vertical loop. Incredible Hulk Coaster roars on winding its way through two more corkscrews, separated by one more loop. In total you'll cover 3,700-feet of track and find yourself upside down seven times on this impressive steel monster.
    Experience on Incredible Hulk Coaster:
Volunteers enter the lab of Bruce Banner with many televisions showing the story of the Hulk. Bruce is now trying to find a way to reverse the effects, which the guests are about to take part in. While walking through the lab they encounter items including the generator, the Gamma core and the towers of power. At the lift hill, riders enter the Project Gamma tube and hear Bruce Banner expressing his dismay at yet another malfunction. He stammers: "Everything looks good.... I think...I think this time it's-it's going to work". A malfunction of the machine takes place by a quote saying,"Warning: Coolant Levels Dropping." Bruce screams: "No....NO! NO!" After that sentence riders are shot out within 2 seconds at 40 mph (64 km/h) and are sent through a zero-g roll, down a 105-foot (32 m) drop and through a cobra roll. Riders complete a vertical loop, then enter a tunnel full of mist. At this point of the ride, the train's speed has reached approximately 60-67 mph. The train encircles the gamma tube and is sent into the back area via corkscrew. After another vertical loop and two over-banked turns, the coaster is slowed down by a brake run before being sent down another hill to a corkscrew and turn-around. Riders then travel sideways through a camera area and then to the ride's closing after a helix.
    Accidents on Incredible Hulk:
On September 23, 2003, a 34-year-old woman from Jensen Beach, Florida suffered a heart attack while riding the Incredible Hulk coaster. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died.
